New bid?

The Evening Chronicle is today reporting that once we bank the money from Arsenal for Debuchy, we are off on a bit of a spree, and hope to sign 5 more players, in quick time.

So assuming they are correct who are those 5 players likely to be?

Obviously the firm favourite for an entrance to St James’ has to be Remy Cabella, as we have reportedly made an improved 9.6 million pound offer to Montpellier, another widely touted to be joining is Dutch world cup defender Daryl Janmaart.

The other 3 (if indeed there is another three, do not appear to be that straight forward).

We are widely credited with an interest in Wilfried Zaha, but the player himself has stated his desire to remain at Manchester United, of course what a player wants and actually gets are two different things.

Then there is the Arsenal pair of Joel Campbell and Carl Jenkinson, While Campbell would be a season loan, Jenkinson is thought to be part of the Debuchy deal.

Another possible signing is Juventus defender Mauricio Isla, who reports from Italy credit us with an interest.

The trouble is of course Ashley, or more to the point how much he is willing to move his blasted line, to come to terms with the real world, I don’t think that there is any arguing that we desperately need players, 5 seems about the right amount, but will we get them?

I hope so, won’t hold my breath though.

It's 5 players to go into the first team squad, we are also reportedly looking to buy atleast 5 players for the development squad

Does the development team count for anything, we never actually apear to develop them.
