The long running transfer saga that is Bafetimbi Gomis, is taking yet another turn.
Possibly unwilling to break the current wage structure at St James and risking a queue of players standing outside the manager’s door with hands out, Newcastle are looking to capture, the seemingly reluctant player with a reported 2.5 million signing on fee.
To be follow by 370 grand a month.
Even that though may not be enough to tempt Gomis and Turkish sides Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray are said to be interested, with the player favouring a move there.
If he would rather play in a Mickey mouse division, than the premier league, then good riddance, but after 18 months of transfer starvation, he could well be the third signing of the summer.
