Joe Kinnear has resigned from his job as Director of Football at Newcastle United. Kinnear who appears to have done nothing since his appointment, except make the club a laughing stock with his stupid interviews, failed to see out a year in post. He was appointed in June 2013 and hasn't made a single long-term signing, just two loan deals in Loic Remy and Luuk de Jong.
The official club statement read;
"Newcastle United can confirm that Joe Kinnear has this evening resigned from his position as Director of Football with immediate effect. The club will be making no further comment."
Alan Shearer told the BBC;
"It was a strange appointment in the first place. I was surprised that they sold the club's best player (Cabaye) and they didn't have a plan in place.
I hope it's not his health, I really do, but I was not sure what his job was in the first place really."
