Touchline Fight Sees Woodman & Jimenez Sent To The Stands

Newcastle United and Southampton's goal keeping coaches Andy Woodman and Toni Jimenez were both sent off today at St James' Park. The touchline became the centre of attention in the 90th minute after Morgan Schneiderlin's foul (and subsequent booking) on Haidara seemed to cause things to kick off. The benches were cleared as the referee Mike Jones ran over and intervened. Whilst the drama was over within seconds it put a disappointing tinge on what had been a good game of football.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino said after the game that the drama was;

"Not a good example & not good for football."
