Kinnear Hasn't A Clue Who Plays For NUFC Claims "source"

Fancy that, Joe Kinnear, Managing Director of Newcastle United reportedly failing to realise that Shane Ferguson is infact a Newcastle United player and not someone he needs to be considering signing. That's what the Sunday People are running with tomorrow, A Birmingham City "source" is quoted as saying Kinnear tried to scout 22 year old Ferguson whilst on a trip to the club back in September.

Referring to Birmingham's game against Swansea City in the Capital One Cup, the "source" said;

“Ferguson had a particularly good game that night and Joe Kinnear told one of our officials he was interested in signing him.

At first our guy thought he was joking but then he realised Kinnear did not know Ferguson was already a Newcastle player.”

Alan Oliver wrote the article so i dare say there's a strong chance its a dig at the club on behalf of his former employer
