From Not For Sale, To Having A 25M Price Tag - Yohan Cabaye

Talksport described him as Newcastle’s “wantaway” star, whilst to Joe Kinnear he is Yohan Kebab, but Newcastle United are reported to have put a £25M price-tag on Yohan Cabaye after interest in the midfielder increased from Paris St Germain.

Cabaye had previously been linked with a move to Monaco, leading to Kinnear to announce that the 27 year old is not for sale, but the French press have reported this week that PSG, who offer Champions League football and newly appointed Laurent Blanc as manager, were lining up a £18M bid for French International.

Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has made no secret of the fact that every player has his price so whilst the sale of Cabaye would be hugely detrimental to the team, as we have previously seen with the sales of Andy Carroll and Demba Ba, it cannot be ruled out if the price is right.

Im sorry to say, but if we were offered 25M, I would take it. Maybe then, we could have someone on the team that could take a decent corner..

As long as the money is reinvested, then fine..

on last season's performance I would take 25m I often believed he was one of the biggest problems in our team

I'd gladly take the money. I agree with both TvA and mental's comments.
His crosses were appalling, and his passing was poor.

I'd like us to buy someone who is more consistent and by that I mean consistently good.

25m kinda makes him not for sale. At that price you're not going to find a lot of takers, unless PSG and Monaco have a number of targets fall through. Keeps all the riff raff away and only serious(ly thick headed) bidders will come calling.
