Newcastle United travel to the midlands tomorrow afternoon to play West Bromwich Albion. West Brom host on the back of two wins, one draw and three defeats from their last six games in all competitions, whilst Newcastle travel on the back of one win, one draw and four defeats from their last six in all competitions.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has been hit for six with injuries this season, but the injury crisis went from bad to worse last weekend against Sunderland when Tim Krul dislocated his shoulder and was later confirmed to be out for the rest of the season. Then in midweek Ryan Taylor got the news that he could miss not only the end of this season but also the whole of next season after sustaining yet another ACL knee ligament problem.

Rob Elliot (ankle) was also injured against Sunderland after coming on as the replacement keeper, and whilst he should be back for tomorrow’s game, Steve Harper will be making sure he is ready to play should things fail to go to plan.

Cheik Tiote (hamstring) is due back tomorrow, but Davide Santon (hamstring) and Coloccini (back) are both expected to be out for another week or so. Sylvain Marveaux (groin) has no expected return date.

Hatem Ben Arfa and Mathieu Debuchy return against Sunderland from their respective injuries and both are expected to feature against West Brom tomorrow.

Peter Odemwingie (knee) will miss the game tomorrow, whilst Izzy Brown (groin) and Zoltan Gera (knee) are both also unavailable.  Youssouf Mulumbu is suspended.

One person to look our for for Newcastle fans is Roman Lukaku, who according to Opta Stats is the player who has been caught offside the most this season (every 44 minutes). This will come as a suprise to many who would have pegged Papiss Cisse for being king of that stat.

Fact: Newcastle have had a total of 47 shots in their last two Premier League games against Fulham and Sunderland but have scored only once.

It's certainly a surprise to me, I would've put money on it being Cisse.

Perch (legit) tackle in the box led to a free kick on the outside of the box.
WBA arguing if the ref was going to give it at all it should be a pen.

Thankfully they wastes their free kick and HT = 0-1

I'll ask once again what do they actually do in training ? As its obviously not practising passing to a fellow toon player as we squandered possesion over and over again ! My 2 year old could pass more accurately than this lot
And they obviously don't practise any kind of attacking movements as yet again going forward it just looks desperate and rushed with no clear purpose . At 1-0 up we had enough opportunity a to finish the game off if we could actually get the ball in the net more consistently
Pardew needs to stop staring at his reflection in the manager of the year award and do something or I fear we will go down . This was one of the more winnable games that we have left and we looked nervous and out of ideas and its only going to get tougher in the remaining 4 if other teams lower down put up a bit more fight as expected (Wigan always manage it )

i'm ashamed to admit it but i was hoping for a bit of a sunderland revival purely for the fact that i wanted stoke, wigan and qpr to go down, unfortunately it looks likely that it will only be qpr and wigan who go down!

it doesn't matter what they do in training if the players dont do it on the pitch then there's nothing pardew can do about it, we are down to the bare bones of the first team.

I question Cabaye's leadership, we need someone to get a grip of the players on the pitch!

Usual case of not closing the game out conceding and holding on for a point in the end. Not very inspiring for us as supporters another point towards safety thats the only positive thing to say.

We are far too predictable as a team and it's going to be tight for that third relegation spot.
