No St Mirren Return For Paul Dummett

Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett will remain at Newcastle rather that return for a further loan spell at St Mirren. The 21 year old had been expecting to return for a second stint at the club but St Mirren have confirmed that this is not the case.

A St Mirren "insider" said;

"Paul will not be rejoining us in this transfer window.

We had hoped with Newcastle signing a new left-back that would allow Paul to return here for the remainder of the season but it seems Alan Pardew has decided against it."

Dummett made his first team debut for Newcastle United against Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup, however, he is out of contract in the summer and St Mirren are expected to pick him up then.

Can't understand this one, unless it means Santon is leaving and they need back up for the new lad!
