Wilfried Bony - Player Profile: Newcastle Offer £12M

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Wilfied Bony of Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. The striker is currently on International duty with the Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations but is the season’s top score in the Dutch Eredivise.

 The 24 year old joined Sparta Prague on loan in 2007 before being offered a permanent contract. He then signed a three and half year deal with Vitesse Arnhem in January 2011. The club have now said that they wouldn’t block a move if the right offer came in, but it has been suggested that a move in the summer is more likely.

Newcastle United are rumoured to have put a £12million bid in for Bony, who has scored 16 goals in 18 games this season, with his agent confirming interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham.

Bony is French speaking and would be joining a predominately French speaking dressing room, including five new French signings, should be join the club.

This was the signing i was hoping for, as i rate him higher than Remy and his younger. His got the pace, strength, technique and an eye for goal. I really hope we sign him!!!

Wilfried Bony is worth it we hav pace we need strenght and experience dnt matter if he is slow right now he will speed up in time u can not compare him to shola mate shola is shite

Shola is slow but I still think he can do a job as a bit part player he has been a good servant to the club in my opinion.

He's a great option to bring on at the end of a game to kill it off or play against defenders who dont want a big man up against him,he still has a use but not as an out and out goalscorer
