Alan Pardew can add another injured player to his ever growing list after it was confirmed that Danny Simpson will be out for between three and four weeks with a broken toe. The defender was substituted off in the 82nd minute against Arsenal on Saturday evening and is now set to miss games against, Everton, Brighton, Norwich, Reading and possibly Aston Villa.
He joins Steven Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Hatem Ben Arfa, Yohan Cabaye, Haris Vuckic, Dan Gosling, Vurnon Anita and Jonas Gutierrez in the treatment room.
Pardew said earlier today;
"Maybe he should have came off at half-time. But he will be out for three or four weeks."
