Fellaini Back For Newcastle Game

Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has received a 3 match ban for headbutting Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross and Everton have chosen not to appeal the ban after manager David Moyes admitted that Fellaini should be punished for his actions. The 25 year old said after the game;

"I apologise completely to Ryan Shawcross, my team-mates and to our fans at the game. I lost my temper and it was unprofessional.

There was a lot of pushing and pulling going on inside the Stoke penalty area and I didn't feel I was getting any protection from the officials.

Nevertheless I know I shouldn't have done what I did. I have also apologised to the manager and the staff - I have no excuses.

I was disappointed with the way I was being treated and I lost my temper, which was unprofessional of me."

Many thought that the incident coupled we several other clashes, would have received a harsher punishment which would have seen him miss Newcastle's game against Everton at St James' Park on Sunday 30th December. He will now be available.

Fellaini who has had 51 shots at goal this season, has scored 8 goals and earned 3 assists in 15 Premier League games.

Dammit I just transferred Fellaini into my Fantasy League team last week.

He didn't just headbutt him he also punched Shawcross in the face a little earlier.
