I thought there was some very good spells for Newcastle.

I think the fact that we didn't play completely pathetically was summed up by the fans applauding them off the pitch.

After 10 minutes i thought we would get a hammering but we did have several opportunities.

And that's what hurts the spirit, last season those chances were going in.

Something like 14 shots on goal even more than city, pity we didn't score from them

I know nobody will agree but I wish they wouldn't play Cisse and Ba together

City fans throw flare at Newcastle fans below them, hitting a pensioner and narrowly missing a 10 year old girl. Nice blokes.

Can't fault the performance or effort from the lads today.

Suppose you cant be too disheartened when you get beat off the champions. We did have some good spells.

Annie I kind of agree about not playing them together, or at least having Cisse through the middle. It annoyed me a bit when Shola came on and played more through the middle with Ba dropping off/left. Why not allow Cisse his chance in his natural position. Saying that, both he and Ba put in a canny shift.

Did anybody else notice Danny Simpsons laughable boll.ock covering which basically allowed their man to run past and cross for YaYa's goal. That @#$%& Tullisia was in the crowd, right in front of where he was. He should be worrying about not conceding, never mind protecting his tool for her. It was a joke to be fair.

Also, how good was Anita, Im so pleased he looks like he is settling down. I was afraid he was becoming a bit of a scapegoat (like Colo in relegation season) for our poor form/lack of transfers. He was everywhere and really made us tick. Cracking engine as well. Im sure its another top spot for Graham Carr..... and to think, Liverpool paid 15m for Joe Allen.....Ho Ho Ho (xmas theme).
