HT: Newcastle Utd 4-0 Down Against Wigan Athletic

Newcastle United go into half time against Wigan Athletic 4-0 down after a stunning performance from the Latics. Goals from Moses, Maloney and Di Santo have given Roberto Martinez’s men the confidence going into the 2nd half, whilst Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has had his head in his hands on the touchline.


Pardew, who spoke of the possibility of finishing third, ahead of the game, appears to have spoken far too soon and tempted fate, with the team having their worst game in months.

Before the match started, Newcastle United boasted six consecutive wins and five clean sheets from those six games; a run which saw their goal difference soar.

The strength of Wigan’s amazing relegation battle have seen them beat Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Stoke City in recent weeks with a solid victory over Newcastle in their sights……unless Newcastle wake up and realise that they have a game to play.
