"Cheik’s still trying to get his visa. It’s nothing to do with the football club – it’s nothing to do with the British end. We’re putting enough pressure on them.
It’s not ideal. Derek’s out there (Derek Wright - team physio), and it’s the best scenario we can have. We’ve tried to get a local team (for him to train with), but it’s not really working out.
We need to make sure it’s structured. He’s doing a lot of fitness work, and Cheik will pick the ball up no problem.”
Seriously. How is this allowed to happen at a club of this stature? I've checked out the Border Agency (or whatever it's called) website and it looks like it would take him 3 weeks to get a renewal, at the fastest. But I don't understand why he needs one. I've read claims that when you enter the UK on contract work, your visa is for the length of the contract. If that's the case, why does he need to renew? If it's down to getting a work visa from the US, didn't all our foreign players have to do this?
You would maybe new contact did not start till new season who knows but someone has f00ked up at the club again this should off been sorted long before now
How would this stop bids for him? I keep hearing that mentioned and I just don't see the logic.
Will be real silly if he misses games-he wasn't played in our last few PL games to avoid just that. If he played against WBA, I sincerely doubt we'd have lost that lead.
