Up and Down Week On the Track….

If anyone saw Wednesday’s skill session out at a cold Optus Oval, you would have seen a fired up bunch of blokes really desperate for a win. Over my 5 months at the club, this session was the best. The skills were clean, and the spirit around the place was like they were coming off a few wins.

Friday however, the mood was quiet. They trained for 90 minutes, in what was supposed to be a short and sharp 45-60 minute session. After a spray from Brittain, the skills and the talk got a bit better, but still down on Wednesday’s session.

Koutoufides trained with the seniors and then the reserves on Friday,

and looks to be moving freely. His skills are getting better with every session, and he is as hungry as ever.

It’ll be an interesting week for the Blues, with a few of the new recruits McKernan and Lindsay Smith keen to play well against their old club.

I have only tipped the Blues once this year, but I’m tipping them again this week. I expect the senior players to pull together, and have a big day.

In other news, Trent Hotton got one week for striking a Frankston player right on the half time siren in last weeks VFL match.
