Australia have left out Mitchell Johnson for the Ashes tour to England which starts in July, and have appointed wicketkeeper Brad Haddin as deputy for Michael Clarke...

Haddin replaces Shane Watson who stepped down as vice captain, following the row in India, where four Australian's were sent home having not completed a task laid out by coach Mickey Arthur.

Watson however will continue in his all rounder role, as Austalia arrive with many questions hanging over them.

Left armer James Faulkner is the only uncapped player named in the squad, and will take the place of Johnson who remains a liability when the pressure is on, as seen down under last time out.

Nathan Lyon will be the only spinner on show in England, as the Aussies rely on their pace attack to do the damage in bowler friendly conditions.

It is also a return to favour for 35 year old Haddin, having seen Matthew Wade overtake him recently as Australia's wicketkeeper.

Although Wade does make the final 16 himself, he will only be here as back up, now that Haddin has become Clarke's deputy.

Swann and Monty would spin circles around the Aussies...
