The SPL fixtures were released today and we have been paired with Inverness at Fir Park for the first game of the season on 23rd July.

The season is only five weeks away and the build up can start now as the fixtures for the SPL were released today, and we have a home game to start with. Terry Butcher’s Inverness will visit Fir Park on 23^rd July.

 

The following Saturday we travel to Kilmarnock for our first away game of the season. The opening spell is completed with a home game with Hearts, moved to a Sunday for the visitors involvement in Europe followed by a trip to St. Mirren.

 

Our first Old Firm game is the fifth game in, and is planned for Saturday 20^th August – this will no doubt move for TV.

 

Over the Christmas period we are away on Christmas Eve and then again on 2^nd January, and as usual we have our home game on the midweek night – not exactly what you would want.

 

Our start is a reasonable one, and hopefully we can take a reasonable number of points from the first twelve, and I being greedy looking for 9?
