Bring on the Celtic

Sutton celebrates

After our emphatic win over St. Johnstone we now know we will take on Celtic who an equally emphatic win over Aberdeen yesterday.

Three goals from Craigan (unbelievably!!), Murphy and Sutton (not so surprisingly!! were enough to see off the Saints yesterday and spark off some great celebrations both on and off the park.

Pubs in Motherwell were “buzzing” last night with Stuart McCall making an appearance at the Electric Bar. He did try to speak to the fans but they only kept cheering and singing.

Now we have five weeks to look forward the final against Celtic on 21st May with five games to go before then as well. The strange thing is we will now have to play Celtic on back to back weeks as we travel to Celtic Park on the last game of the season the week before the Cup Final.

I don’t think we have anything to fear, we will have to respect Celtic. I think they will need to think how they will handle our front four of Murphy, Sutton, Jeffers and Humphrey as much as we will need to look after Stokes, Hooper etc.

It would be fantastic if we could win this one only three days after the 20th Anniversary after our last win and create a new bunch of heroes.
