Brown and Boyle – what happened?

Brown

There has been much speculation since Saturday about what happened between John Boyle and Craig Brown, so what did happen

The Daily Record report Boyle said, 'I can't believe what you've done. It's hypocritical'. I am not sure why this would upset Brown as almost every action he has taken since leaving Fir Park has shown this to be a fair assessment of things.

This all seems to revolve around bonuses due for steering Motherwell to the CIS Cup Semi Final. They were happy to work under, and then break a gentleman’s agreement rather than a contract when it suited them. Now when it is taking money out of his pocket Brown isn’t happy.

Maybe he should just accept he was allowed to move north with no hassle, no compensation demanded, but this doesn’t seem good enough for the great wee gentleman of Scottish football.

Both the Record and the Sun report Boyle arrived at the ground close to the final whistle, BUT I am certain I saw him in the Director’s Box just before kick off. Did I imagine it, I don’t think so….

The interesting thing now will be what action the SFA will take, although they are now waiting on the referee’s report before making any decision.
