Is Steven Jennings heading out of Fir Park

Jennings.

The popular scouser is out of contract in the summer and stories are starting to circulate about other clubs showing an interest.

Jennings is one of three first team regulars who is out of contract in the summer (along with John Sutton and Stephen Craigan), but still hasn’t decided his future.

It does appear the club have made him an offer that he is thinking over, and could see him tied to the club for another three years if he chooses to stay.

But stories are now starting to appear that there is interest from elsewhere, with Craig Brown at Aberdeen looking to take him to Pittodrie after being impressed with him during his time in charge at Fir Park.

There is even a rumour he could be heading to the MLS to play for the New York Red Bulls…..

What is correct for the player, should he stay or should he go now (as the Clash would have said).

Given the number of bookings he seems to be picking up in Scotland, almost on a weekly basis, it would seem logical for him to move away to try to get a fair crack of the whip!

This is reminiscent of what happened to Nick Cusack back in the 1990s when he picked up a reputation with referees and he had to move south to move on and develop his career. Sadly I would think Jennings will have to do the same…..
