Jeffers on his way to Fir Park??

There are strong rumours circulating that Francis Jeffers could be signing for Motherwell in the next few days.

Jeffers would appear to be one of the five strikers who was in Manager Stuart McCall’s sights before Monday’s closure of the transfer window.

 

The former Everton and Arsenal striker has just completed a spell in Australia with the Newcastle Jets and is a free agent which makes him eligible to sign after Monday’s deadline.

 

There were high hopes for Jeffers as a youngster, who made an £8 million move to Highbury but things didn’t work out for him at Arsenal.

 

From there his career has never quite lived up to expectations that saw him win a full England cap in 2003.

 

There was speculation he was at Fir Park today, but I am sure we will here in the next day or two if any of this is true…..
