How appealing is the Motherwell job?

Given it appears we have been knocked back by two candidates for the Manager’s job it makes you wonder how appealing our job is.

With reports this morning that Neil McDonald has joined Ricky Sbragia in knocking back the offer of becoming the Motherwell manager it makes you wonder how appealing the job is.

We know there are three players who are out of contract next month, with Alan Gow and Marc Fitzpatrick having short term contracts running out and Nick Blackman’s loan coming to an end.

What is likely to happen to these three, do we have the cash to keep them at the club? If not how do we maintain the depth of squad without them?

Is this one of the things that is putting off any new manager, as he believes the squad will be weaker right away and he will have no cash to bring anyone else in.

This would appear to be one of the reasons Craig Brown moved to Aberdeen, and maybe makes his move north more understandable.

There does appear to be a financial crisis at Fir Park at the moment, with many complaining about the state of the stadium on Sunday. With toilets not working in the East Stand and the Main Stand leaking like a sieve, did this put any visitor off having seen the state of the place.

Let’s hope Boyle, Dempster and Weir can convince someone quickly that Fir Park is an attractive place to continue your career and showcase your ability allowing you to move on to a bigger job elsewhere….
