Brown commits to Well

Motherwell and Craig Brown have confirmed today that Aberdeen did make approaches about filling the vacant job at Pittodrie, but that they have decided to commit to Motherwell FC.

The club issued a statement today which said the manager had committed his future to Motherwell FC, and they are looking for more "success" under Brown and Knox.

Brown himself has come out later in the day and said working with the Motherwell players every day convinced him Fir Park was the place to be. Their enthusiasm and willingness to listen helped sway the manager that Fir Park was still the place to be.

This all seemed to, in the end, to be a bit of a non-story, okay they did speak to the manager BUT was there every any real doubt he would leave and head north to take up the poison chalice that is the Aberdeen Manager's job.

I hope he can bring us more success, and starting with a win over Rangers in the League Cup semi next month!
