Well sneak one in after window shuts

Gow v Hammell

Just as it looked as though we would end up with no last minute transfer window signing it looks as though the club has pulled one out of the bag in Alan Gow.

Gow had been linked with the the club for a couple of weeks but it looked as though he was heading to St. Mirren and then yesterday Swindon Town appeared to have tied him down.

He appears to have upset them as their chairman Andrew Fitton was angry at losing out on Gow on transfer deeadline day, calling Gow a "disgrace" for trying to increase his wage.

"It is frustrating that somebody wants to try and change the deal right at the last minute," Fitton told the Swindon Advertiser. "But it was clearly all about him and the money.

"We want players who have a passion and desire to play for Swindon Town. If someone comes in, shows that passion and desire, and plays well for us then they are more than welcome to go and knock on Andrew's door and ask for improved terms.

"But he was trying to improve it before he had even pulled on a Swindon shirt and kicked a ball for the club. That is a disgrace."

Despite all that the former Clydebank, Airdrie, Falkirk, Rangers and Hibs man could add the balance to our midfield and hopefully providing us goals from an area of our side that produces few in that department.

Gow has a medical in the morning and will be "unveiled" at 1pm at Fir Park tomorrow.
