The 104th AGM of Motherwell Football Club was held tonight in the Milleniem Suite at Fir Park

After the formal acceptance of accounts and voting of Directors there was the opportunity of shareholders to hear the views of Manager Craig Brown and also Chairman John Boyle.

Brown seemed genuinely delighted to be at the club and had been impressed by the support given from all of the staff at the club, but did apologise for the last four defeats in a row.

On the flip side of that he did feel we were still playing well enough to stay in at least fifth or push for fourth and clinch a place in Europe.

He also explained some of the work going on in the background to ensure we have a quality squad for next year, with a number of players leaving and ones he has an eye on as replacements.

John Boyle explained to shareholders the club had reported it's first loss for six years, and if it hadn't been for the vagaries of the SPL split looked to be heading back to profit again this year.

Boyle was clearly furious with the hand the club had been dealt and has been working in the background to compensate the Well fans and the club, and also ensuring this does not happen again.

The pitch was also a major source of discussion and it is once again the number 1 priority in the summer to ensure we have a decent playing surface next season.
