Bristol Rovers manager Matt Taylor has been sacked.
With Bristol Rovers in 20th place and only two points above the relegation zone, the board has decided to relieve Taylor of his duties. Taylor's assistant, Wayne Carlisle, has also left the club. Rovers have only scored twice in the last 660 minutes of football and Saturday's 2-0 defeat away at Birmingham City was Rovers third League defeat in a row.
Just last week former Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole was appointed as a first-team coach at Rovers, an appointment that Taylor seemed to know very little about. It is Cattermole alongside Horseman who will take temporary charge of first-team affairs as Rovers head into this weekends game aginst high flying Wrexham at The Memorial Stadium.
