Striker Harvey Saunders has left Rovers to join League Two side Tranmere Rovers.
The 25-year-old has moved to Prenton Park on an 18 month contract ending his year and a half with Bristol Rovers. He had a stop-start career at Rovers never really managing a run of games. He made 43 appearances at Rovers and scored five times. Saunders had six months left on his contract and was also starting interest from another League Two side Hartlepool, but the former Fleetwood man decided on a move to Tranmere for an undisclosed fee.
Saunders is the fifth player to leave Rovers in this transfer window following Alfie Kilgour (Mansfield), Trever Clarke (Shamrock Rovers), Zain Westbrooke (released) and Bobby Thomas was recalled by Burnley. Joe Barton hopes to bring in five more players this window with Barton expected to use the loan market to bring in reinforcements.
