Team to Face Doncaster

Here at Tarn Talk we are giving our opinion on who should start against Donny on Saturday.

Following the impacts of the subs on Tuesday I think we could see some changes. Here is what we would go with. Agree or disagree? Have your say below.

Goodman in goal, much improved of lately despite his part in the goal on Tuesday.

We are going for an orthodox back four. No left back tucking in as third centre and right back pushing on as a wing back. Two full backs and two centre halves. Full backs still have licence to get forward as they should.

O’Keeffe at right back with Ogbeta at left back and the two centre backs of De Gevigney and O’Connell. Slightly harsh on Shepherd but we look a lot more balanced with Ogbeta at left back despite his defensive frailties.

The midfield needs to be more solid and actually look like a midfield, so we are going for three in there and playing it slightly different, more like how we set up under Duff and in the following seasons with Connell holding, Phillips to his right and Kelly to his left.

We want wingers on the wing and Lennon deserves a start following the impact he had on Tuesday so he would be our starter on the left. We would move Cleary over to the right, mainly to try something different and unexpected in the hope of him rediscovering his early season form. And obviously McGoldrick up top.

Subs – Flavell, Watson, Shepherd, Bland, Yoganathan, Banks, Bradshaw.

This team wins 3 – 1, you heard it here first, obviously we can’t keep a clean sheet.
