  Barnsley 3 – 5 Everton  

Davies              9          Looks more like the keeper of the back end of last season. Some good saves at times.

Wabara            8          Coped well against Premier league opposition.

Roberts                        10         What a defender. Awesome in the air and on the deck. How has no one picked him up before now?

Mawson            9          Reads the game well. His partnership with Roberts looks very promising.

Nyatanga          7          Felt sorry for Nyatanga in the second half. Did his best out of position at left back against Deulofeu.

Watkins                        9          Terrific throughout. Not the same player I’ve watched these last few weeks.

Pearson            9          Worked hard all night against a very good Everton midfield.

Scowen                        10         Covered every blade of grass. Sensational performance. Was making challenges everywhere on the pitch. Good going forward too.

Hourihane         9          His best performance for a long time. Worked his socks off on the left and when he was moved more centrally he managed to get the space and time on the ball that he likes and got us moving forward.

Crowley            9          Looked good in the hole behind the striker. Still only young and will improve a lot.

Winnall              9          We simply look a lot better as a team when Winnall is on the pitch. He worked hard, held it up and looked dangerous. Grabbed a goal as well.

Wilkinson          6          The only real negative of the night. For me he lacked the effort that the rest of the lads showed.

Rothwell            7          Continued in the same vein as the other midfield lads when he came on.

Smith                8          Should be starting at left back for me. Played well every time I’ve seen him this season.
