Gloucester fought hard to win this thrilling encounter in South Africa, but a determined Sharks team, already fully into their season, were too strong in the first half. Gloucester were much stronger in the second half and ended up with much more acceptable result, losing 42-34. Natal Sharks, who had a dissapointing victory last week in the Curry Cup (sounds stupid doesn't it), came out all guns blazing to stun Gloucester, looking for their second win on their tour. The Sharks built up an almost uncatchable lead, going into half time 36-10 up.

The Cherry-And-Whites didn't want to be embarrased, and started the second half a different team. Jake Boer added to Ludo's first half try, which was his third of the tour, with Andy Hazell, Tom Beim and James forrester also going over.

Thinus Delport again took up kicking duties, which is a sure sign that he is the second choice kicker for the new season. Ludo stuck over a drop-goal to bring Gloucester ever coser to their target, but the Sharks held on.

Final Score: Natal Sharks 42-34 Gloucester.
