Needs a Win

After another disappointing defeat to leaders Wolves at the weekend, Blackpool need a win against Sheffield Wednesday. Having lost the last 3, and lost 4 in 5 games, Blackpool need to get a win against a team that could well be down there with them at the end of the season.

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson may makeone change to the team that was beaten at Molineux, with Ben Burgess likely to return up front along side Alan Gow, seeing Steveabba drop back down the bench. This means that club captain Shaun Barker will miss out again, being left to sit on the bench, while he watches Alex-John Baptites make his home debut. Lee Hendrie is likely to start, lining up against his contract holder's fierce rivals.Another possible problem will be the left back slot,as Mo Camara's loan expired after the Wolves matchso ackpool will be waiting on the fitness of either Danny COid or Joe Martin to fill the slot, with Coid looking the most likely.

Sheffield Wednesday will be fielding a former Seasider on Tuesday night, with former loanee Tony McMahon playing at right back after the former Middlesbrough player signed at Hillsbrough in the summer. McMahon only managed a handful of appearances in Tangerine, before an injury at Southampton cut short his spell. Leon Clarke is likely to retain his place up front alongside Francis Jeffers, keeping stalwart Deon Burton out of the team.

 Last meeting: Last time the sides met was at Bloomfield Road, in the penultimate home game of last season for Pool. An early strike from Claus Jorgensen from 20 yards gave Blackpool the lead after good work by Wes Hoolahan. but Blackpool's inept defending at set pieces allowed Richard Wood to score a simple tap in. However, loan striker Paul Dickov rescued the Pool with a glorious volley from 22 yards which curled into the top corner, giving  Pool 3 points and guaranteeing survival.

Blackpool meet Wednesday on the day before.
