This years Bloomfield derby game against PNE has been moved back a day on Police advice. The game will now be played on November 16th with a 1pm Kick Off. This is to try and reduce any trouble which could occur. Last season the two teams drew 0-0 at Bloomfield Road whilst at Deepdale, the pride of Lancashire Blackpool FC reigned supreme, winning 1-0 thanks to a Wes Hoolahan penalty.
However both games saw arrests made, several arrests were made in Preston after a bus was smashed up whilst carrying Blackpool Fans, more arrests were made at the trains station for public order offences. Later that night, a group of Preston fans snook into Blackpool to smash up the Hop Inn, a half empty pub which was attended by woman and children.
Then at Bloomfield Road one fan was arrested for carrying rocks, whilst several fans received bans for Racist and Homophobic abuse. The authorities now hope that similar trouble will be avoided with an early kick off. Pub aren't expected to open early and chances are those who've had a sneaky shandy will be turned away. One things for sure the atmosphere will be off the hook phenomenal no matter when we play and no doubt it will be yet another win for the Seasiders. After all "We Are Superior!"
