Keigan Parker really is marmite you either love him or hate him and until recently he was well truly out of the first team picture. But after playing a part in Saturday's draw against Preston, the striker has openly admitted that rumours he's leaving are true.
Having helped the Seasiders to promotion through last years Wembley play off success, the 25 year old has decided to call time on his seaside stay. Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette he said "The last three months have been a bit of a nightmare,"
He added "I've had four great years and last season was fantastic, especially at Wembley, but I'll be moving on in the summer. The last few months have been difficult. It's not much fun when you are on the sidelines doing nothing. It has been very frustrating and I'm looking forward to a fresh start."
A fresh start maybe best for the star who's off the field lifestyle has landed him in bother during his time at 'pool. Infamously smashing up a brothel and getting done for drink driving. He also sensationally did a kiss and tell on Jade Goody. This of course left many fans with little respect for the forward who has been something of an idol for our younger supporters.
He signed on a free and will leave the same way, which is a shame as it would have been nice to get a few quid for the player. But after his January move to Barnsley fell through; it more or less closed the door on Blackpool receiving any money for the player.
Parker will have no trouble finding a new club, obviously Barnsley will again be interested in the player, as will Swansea, Forest, Tranmere and a whole host of other clubs.
