Blackpool reserves score four


Parker Impressive

Several first team misfits went under the microscope at the Deva Stadium as Blackpool hit Chester for four. But the most interesting story to come out of the game is that Keigan Parker scored twice putting himself in the first team picture for the first time since been dropped.

He was supposed to want to leave, grumpy at having to play in the reserves and wanting to play elsewhere. Well the script just changed, Simon Grayson will now have to seriously consider calling up Parker to the first team after the fiery Scot put two past Chester.

It's a shock really that Parker has scored twice today, in recent matches for the reserves; he look disinterested and put out. But by all accounts he was impressive today and maybe we will get to see a Parker Dickov partnership that some fans have been asking for.

Fellow first team misfits David Fox and Micheal Flynn also staked there claim for the first team with goals against today's opposition. Flynn and Fox is something which is relativley untested so I can't see it been used against Norwich on Saturday. Although both men will be in serious contention for at least a place on the bench now.

John Hills who nearly joined Plymouth in January also impressed as did Marcus Bean who played centre back for the game.
