Bath gave injury-hit Gloucester a lesson in how to apply and maintain pressure as a dominant first haf saw the home aide take the honours 38-17.

More than a diozen players are currently unavailable for George Skivington who was realistic about his side's performance: ""It was a tough first half when they had all of the pressure -we were camped in our own 22.

"We had a good chat at half-time then for the first 20 minutes of the second half the boys really changed the momentum of the game. They put a lot of pressure on Bath and we had some opportunities to get that fourth try but we weren't quite accurate enough."

Bath were able to select Finn Russell for the first time and he made the first try for Tom de Glanville quickly followed by scores from Tom Dunn, Ollie Lawrence and Ewan Richards.

The Cherry and Whites finally had something to celebrate when Ollie Lawrence scored to make it 28-7 at the break.

Ben Loader then scored for Gloucs early in the second half but there was no magic comeback.

Another derby this week with Bristol on Friday night. It's second bottom hostying 5th. Time for a win.
