What a difference six months makes. Gloucester avenged the 90-0 humilation at Franklins Gardens with a fully deserved 25-17 win against the reigning champs .

Santi Carreras was the hero with two tries, two pens and two conversions. Zach Mercer got the third try as Gloucs domnated the first half going in 22-7 at the break.

Saints ralled but Gloucs never looked like losing and moved up to fifth.

George Skivington was delighted :"The boys came out of the blocks really well - really attacked the game. They kicked the ball at the right times as well, there was a really good balance in that first half.

"In the second half, I thought we were a little bit inaccurate but the resilience and the work rate of the boys was outstanding to keep mopping it up against the best attacking team in the league."
