A great weekend in Edinburgh for Gloucs and their supporters made all the sweeter as the Cherry and Whites quaified for the last 16 of the European Challenge Cup with a game to spare.
It was as tight and entertaining as the 20-21 scoreline suggests and, almost inevitably, it was a Scottish favuorite who secured the win for his side.
Adam Hastings stepped up to take the conversion of a try made by Stepehen Varney and finished off by Zach Mercer with the five points taking the score to 20-19.
The home supporters did their best to put Hastings off his stride, while maintaining rugby etiquette, and everyone held their breath as the conversion just made it.
It makes this Friday's home game against Castres a formality and no doubt there will be some interesting new faces in the home line-up.
