Gloucester went down 24-10 at Sale Sharks and it's not a result anyone can disagree with. The home side were in control for most of the game whioe Gloucs worked hard but when they looked round for inspiration they couldn't find any.
It was a very wet night in Manchester so lots of box kicks and it was not much of a spectacle for TV viewers or the hardy souls who attended.

The Cherry and Whites' consolation was to see the successful return of Mark Atkinson (above) and a neat finish in the closing stages from Freeddie Clarke for the consolation try.
In that very wet first half Arron Reed scored two tries with Ben Curry and Agustin Creevy getting Sharks' bonus point after oranges.
George Skivington told the media:"Both teams were putting each other under pressure but Sale put us under a lot more pressure at the end of the game to get a couple of scores.
"The physicality and the work-rate were really good. Some of our young players really fronted up but we didn't take advantage of the pressure we created."
