Gloucs gave Tigers a difficult afternoon but in the end left Welford Road pointless in a 35-23 defeat.

The Cherry and White's just shaded an entertauining first half which saw Jack van Poortvliet and Jasper Wiese giove Tigers a lead. It was pegged back by tries from  Ollie Thorley and Adam Hastings and thanks to Hastings' boot we went in with a narrow 16-14 lead.

Could we kick on? Unfortunately not as Tigers stepped a gear. They were rewarded with a try from captain Hanro Liebenberg  followed by Guy Porter to clinch a bonus point.

The last word was with Gloucs as Harry Elrington who got our third, but we couldn't add to it and so we remain in fifth place.

Saints up at Kingsholm on Saturday.
