There's a new resilience about the Cherry and Whites. The team which used to capitulate in the final quarter weathered a second half comeback from Bristol and went on to control the game to earn a comfortable 27-10 victory..
The win puts us in fourth place albeit with the rest of the weekend games to come.
Bristol are still a mighty force, despite their poor start to the campaign, and it was a tight affair in the first half. Fortunately, Jack Singleton finished off a driving maul from a line-out maul to put us ahead going into the break.
That annoyed the visitors who came back out meaning business and went ahead through Henry Purdy.
However, Gloucs were in no mood to capitulate. A Chris Harris try followed by a penalty try put us in front once again. Then Charlie Chapman cossed to get us the try bonus point.
Geirge Skivington said after the game: "We saw what they did at the start of the second half when they almost scored a try straight away, then they do score one and suddenly the pressure is on .. the most pleaseing part for me was that we contained it against a very potent attacking threat.
"It was always going to be a really hard day, but I was really pleased with the work ethic and the way the boys kept their heads."
