A five pointer against Falcons at Kingsholm would give us a bit more respectability in the lower half of the Prem. The Geordies arrive in 10th place on 30 points while we languish in 11th on 26 points. (Saturday 3.00).

That's the main issue at stake as George Skivington keeps last week's pack but makes three changes in the backs.

Lloyd Evans comes in at stand-off alongside the returning Stephen Varney. At full back  Kyle Moyle starts with Santiago Carreras taking a turn on the bench.

In the forwards Jack Clement keeps his place at blindside flanker .

Falcons led the league in earky season, but have steadily slipped donw the table despite giving most sides a tough game.
