Saturday August 15th cannot come soon enough - even if the strange end  to season 2019-20 will have all the feelings of a phoney war.

That's why new coach George Skivington has made two big signings - both only on short term contracts.

Barff skipper Matt Garvey will add some steel and experience to the pack while prop Logovi'i Mulipola's arrival from Falcons will add a rather more exotic touch.

Both are in the twilight of their careers but doubtless keen to impress in that opener at Wuss.
