Beware the wounded animal! Glooucs trravel to Saints off the back of seven losses and in tenth place in the Premiership while we are fourth. Happy days ?
Well only if we beat them.
A club of Northampton's stature will turn it round sooner rather than later, which is why we've made seven changes.
The old addage "never change a winning side" does not apply in professional rugby and Johann Ackermann is quite happy to swap more than a handful of players every week and nobody is above being "rested."
That is the case with Billy Twelvetrees this week but we do see the return of skipper Willi Heinz.
Henry Trinder replaces Billy while Jason Woodward is on the wing and Charlie Sharples steps down to the bench.
There's a new second row in the shape of Ed Slater and Mariano Galarza and in the back row Jake Polledri comes in for Lewis Ludlow at openside.
Gloucs:
15. Tom Marshall; 14. Jason Woodward, 13. Henry Trinder, 12. Andy Symons, 11. David Halaifonua; 10. Owen Williams, 9. Willi Heinz (captain); 1. Josh Hohneck, 2. James Hanson, 3. John Afoa; 4. Ed Slater, 5. Mariano Galarza; 6. Ruan Ackermann, 7. Jake Polledri, 8. Ben Morgan
Reps: Motu Matu'u, Cameron Orr, Fraser Balmain, Tom Savage, Lewis Ludlow, Ben Vellacott, Billy Twelvetrees, Charlie Sharples
