Shame really but when you play your old arch rivals it's good to be able to call on top class players like Twelvetrees, Hook, Hibbard and Kvesic... all would rather be playing in the world cup, of course..    

Instead they will be facing Barff in a "home game "at the Bristol Memorial Ground kick 0ff 3.00.. We're alrady one down in the West Country Challenge having lost 41-38 to Chiefs last week but these games are all about getting ready for the season.

 Bath go for youth for this game with Charlie Ewels the England Under 20's skipper leading the side an in the back row, openside Max Northcote-Green is joined by number eight and Academy player Zach Mercer who was on he England U18 tour to South Africa. Adam Hastings, the Scotland U18 fly-half, makes his first senior appearance alongside England U20 scrum-half Will Homer.

You boys had the luck of the bounce. Roll on when the season really starts, can you climb above 9th this season?
