Burgess Stopped

Now that we've sorted Europe out the mouthwatering prospect of Burgess's Bath hoves into view ...

This Saturday's tea-time Christmas local derby was always going to be a highlight of a season, and now the presence of Mr Burgess will make it even more of a dramatic. He's been playing at inside centre but may well  be in the back row in the A League game at London Welsh tonight.

Let's just hope we don't have any repeats of the unseemly ending to last season's game, which threatened at one stage to be continued off the pitch. That isn't, and never has been, rugby.

Kinsgholm will be a full hosue provided those intrepid sopuls who beat the air traffic control computer are all back from Parma. They witnessed a very professional display which sets us up nicely for Barff.

Certainly a bonus point thanks to tries from  Steve McColl, Henry Purdy, Charlie Sharples and Ben Morgan gives us confidence against a Bath side who are enjoying unaccustomed success sitting just two points behind the Saints at the top of the table.

Wonder how many people are in the same pickle as me. I have a family Christmas party involving little ones on Saturday night. A 3.00 kick off would have been perfect but not the tea-time.
And please dont say I can watch it on the telly as it isn't the same and in any case I'll have to record it and watch it later.
