Full of Promise

We may not have set the world 7s on fire [we came 11th] but we can happily swap that for the promise shown in the 62 points we socred against the team formerly known as Leeds Carnegie ..

Sir Ian McGeechan's Pride of Yorkshire were swept away by some dynamic running which saw Glaws run in 10 tries.

New boys Henry Purdy, Steve McColl and James Hook all scored a couple with the remaining tries coming from Aleki Lutui, Greig Laidlaw, Dan Thomas and Rob Cook.

The danger was out wide and that, coupled with a new intense style of rush defence, soon overcame the early pressure from Carnegie who did go away having scored 19 points.

Munster are next up and that game will give us a better idea of what we can expect. But so far so very good.

Loved the way we played to be honest. For all their posturing about representing the whole of Yorkshire I was expecting a bit more from "Leeds" but good luck to their lads who are an honest hard working bunch
