The clamour for heads to roll is growing after Gloucester’s slump to a Kingsholm defeat against Worcester that has virtually killed off hopes of a place in the Guinness premiership play-offs. Coming just hours after coach dean Ryan’s now infamous outburst on the role of the club’s supporters, this result and the performance are not going to help his cause.

Ryan at BristolRyan (righ) wants to stay as coach, but the general trend amongst fans appears to be that his time is up and Glaws need a new face at the helm.
After the EDF disaster against Cardiff Blues, Ryan made it clear that he planned to take the team apart and rebuild, yet just three days later he was saying that patience should be shown towards the players.
Err… make your mind up Deano.
Do we rip the team apart or do we show patience?
He tolds the BBC: "I want to be here next season. I can understand the fans' frustration, but you are not guaranteed to be top of the league every year.
"We have to show some patience and some support for a bunch of guys who are working very hard.
"Sometimes, we are a little bit quick to criticise when there are a people working to make this club what they want it to be.
"We are obviously disappointed to lose this game. We worked tremendously hard after Saturday's performance, but we ran out of steam."
We know they work hard, we know they are trying to make the club what they want it to be, but we also know that the results and performances are NOT good enough.
A season that started full of hope for Glaws is ending in bitter frustration. Some clubs and some groups of fans may be happy with the situation, but at Glaws we have fallen at the final hurdle so oten in recent seasons that hoping for an improvement and for the team to actually in something was surely not unreasonable.

Fans have every right to expect progress and to hope for a gradual improvement aided by lessons learned in previous seasons.
They also have every right to complain when none of the above happens.
Two Olly Barkley penalties were never going to be enough against a Wuss team fired up for the game and they now need to get a bonus point win at Wasps to stand an outside chance of a play-off place.
After the last few seasons and after spending so much of this season at the top of the table, it’s gone past the time to be patient.
Now is the time for action.
