World Cup Diary Day 6: Host's down, but not yet out

With the football at the World Cup certainly not lighting up the world with excitment so far, much of the spirit and energy of the tournament has been upheld by the fans, in particular those of the host nation South Africa. But a small part of that spirit died this evening as Uruguay dealt the hosts a 3-0 defeat, leaving them with just 1 point and 1 game left to play.
