FIFA issue England warning

FIFA have issued England a stark warning to England ahead of their first World Cup group game on Saturday. With Wayne Rooney's temperament well and truly under the spotlight, FIFA have warned the England camp that they must keep their players under control or face the consequences.

On top of news that the ref and linesmen have undergone training to understand English swear words ahead of Saturday's game against the USA, comes a FIFA warning that all referees in South Africa will be armed with a good knowledge of English swears, leaving the whole England squad vulnerable to yellow cards for the use of foul and abusive language.

Under particular scrutiny is Manchester United's Wayne Rooney - who has already been flagged to FIFA for his attitude and choice of colourful language during England's last warm up game this week.

In response to FIFA's warning, team captain Steven Gerrard has issued his own plea to his fellow team mates.  Gerrard stated "We understand the refereeing is going to be really serious and tight in this tournament so we have to make sure we are all on our guard and disciplined. I am sure every player is aware of that and we have a responsibility to ensure we keep 11 men on the pitch at all times. The manager has stressed that many times."

I bet Fifa would of been happier if we had failed to Qualify. Sepp Blatter & co hate us so lets stuff it up them & win the tournament. That is the last thing they would want. If you notice they go out of their way to stop us doing any good

Well last time we didn't qualify for a tournament there was millions of pounds of revenue lost - so I'm sure they're glad we qualified.
