It has emerged that the Brazilian officials in charge of Saturdays game are learning English swear words to enable them to catch out players trying to abuse them thinking they cannot understand what they are saying. The officials, Carlos Simon, Altemir Hausmann and Roberto Braatz have been learning a list of 20 abusive words, so the players need to be careful if they are thinking they can get away with swearing at them. Braatz said in an interview: " We cant do this in all languages but at least we know the swear words in English"

Well I hope they're learning swear words in all languages then. The last thing we want is the PC brigade getting on their prejudice soap boxes.
